Under 3 Room

This room is split into two areas, one for the 2 – 3 year old’s and the other for those under the age of two. Our numbers are restricted due to the level of care and attention that children in this age group require.
The staff:child ratios are as follows:

Under 2’s: 1:3 (maximum of 9 children at any one time)
Over 2: 1:5 (maximum of 10 children at any one time)

The children follow ‘Pre Birth to Three- Positive Outcomes for Scotland’s Children and Families’ and guidance from Realising the Ambition.

Our recent Care Inspectorate inspection report said the following;

“Staff had a clear understanding of their role and responsibility relating to keeping children safe and protected. The staff had completed child protection training. This helped reduce the potential risk of harm to children, as staff had the knowledge and confidence to respond to any concern.”
