Funded early learning and childcare
All four year olds are entitled to 1140 hours of government funded Early Learning and Childcare. Only those 3 year olds who are eligible in August 2026 will be entitled to the full 1140 hours. Those eligible in January and April 2027 will be entitled to a proportion of the 1140 hour entitlement.
Parents can choose to use the hours flexibly as long as no more than 30 hours per week or 8 hours per day, over a minimum of 38 weeks is taken.
Children eligible for P1 or funded Early Learning and Childcare in the School Year commencing August 2026

Between 17 August 2021 and the end of February 2022 child is entitled to defer entry to primary school. |

1 March 2022 – 28 February 2023 are eligible for a funded place from August 2026 |

1 March 2023 – 31 August 2023 will be eligible for a funded place from August 2026 |

Enrolment week for session 2026-2027 is week beginning 9th February 2026. However, please note that you can still enrol your child at our centre outwith these dates. Just pop in and see us or give us a call on 01397 701040.
SPLIT YOUR FUNDED HOURS! Your child can attend more that one Nursery by splitting your funded hours between two settings.
USE YOUR HOURS DURING THE HOLIDAYS. We are open 50 weeks of the year! Enrolling with us for 23 hours per week for those 50 weeks will cover your Childcare worries during Easter, Summer & October holidays!
